MSI has confirmed what we said exclusively a few days ago, that AMD’s Ryzen 7000 “Zen 4” CPUs and X670 motherboards will launch on September 15th.
MSI officially confirms a September 15 launch date for AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and X670 motherboards
You’d think AMD would beat MSI to reveal their product’s release date, but instead, the latter revealed the launch of the Ryzen 7000 CPU series and X670 motherboard series all at once, falling mid-September, and both point to the same day .

- Press embargo: September 13, 2022 at 9:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM CET / 9:00 PM TW
- Sales embargo: September 15, 2022 at 9:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM CET / 9:00 PM TW
AMD hasn’t officially revealed the dates itself, but our sources have already indicated this and we’ve even taken note of the August 29 announcement where the red team will reveal full specs and pricing. We’ve also already given you the full breakdown of the specs, which we’ve also revealed first, exclusive.
MSI plans to initially release four X670 motherboards for the AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPU family, including the MEG X670E GODLIKE, MEG X670E Ace, MPG X670E Carbon WiFI, and the PRO X670E-P WIFI. We’ll get more information closer to launch, such as pricing, overclocking, and memory DDR5 support. The company will also be showcasing a range of B650 chipset motherboards, but they won’t be launched until a little later.
Yesterday MSI gave a little more insight into their X670E motherboards during the AMD “Meet The Experts” Livestream. MSI pushes the boundaries with high-end heatsink designs such as screwless M.2 Shield Frozr technology, M.2 XPANDER-Z Gen 5 Dual AIC (supports up to two PCIe Gen 5.0 x4) SSDs in actively cooled solution), 60W USB Type-C power supply and more robust power supply for each layer of the motherboard. We also get a closer look at the MEG X670E GODLIKE, which looks as beastly as ever with its massively saturated PCB design and tons of IO to work with. More details on MSI’s lineup here.
